02888 – What Mature Christ Followers Do

Remember all those Sunday school lessons, Vacation Bible Schools, retreats, mission trips, and worship services? Their purpose was to help shape and mature us as Christ followers so that now we can demonstrate what it looks like to be people of peace, grace, love, and justice in this broken, divided, politically hostile American culture.

There is no mistaking that being reflections of Jesus Christ right now, right here in 2022 America IS our primary calling. If we don’t do it now, then all that cultivation, shaping, forming, preparing, readying was all play with no real substance. Now is the time for Christian maturity to kick in. We have been prepared. No more preliminary training needed. That is all.
