The newly-converted Saul is welcomed, baptized, and shares in the table fellowship of the church. Paul says that he was given “the right hand of fellowship” (Gal. 2:9). The enemy is addressed as “Brother Saul.”
Conversion is not an individualistic attainment or personal possession; conversion moves one into the care and nurture of the body of believers.
As we shall see in Acts 10-11 and its account of Peter’s vision (and “conversion”), one never becomes so wise or adept at faith that conversion stops or one is immune from divine surprises.
Conversion keeps on happening; the turning continues within the community.
