I despise it when they are able to see that love (ugh!) extends beyond the boundaries of their tribe, nation, or family. It means they no longer become defined by the order they are born into.

It dawns on them that all these orders are not absolutes to be obeyed; they are constructions that are mostly contingent on history. This makes our work all the harder because we operate best when we can keep them separated from one another.

The last thing I want is for them to see the deep interconnectedness that rests under all the diversity.
