Corporate worship can become empty—it can turn into an abstraction—outside of each individual worship taking on full responsibility, for each person is the church, and it is the church that is to be at worship, individual by individual.
In corporate worship, it is not “the rest of the folks,” especially the spiritual giants, who are responsible. Nor is it the leadership, the worship team or any group or individual with worship-related job descriptions on whom the responsibility falls.
When we place the responsibility for worship outside ourselves and not inside, where Christ is, we miss the biblical point of ongoing worship.
