We need a true national and global vision and the belief that we can do great things and embrace a wider range of human experience. We need a new deal, a new frontier, and great society. Tax breaks for the wealthy, white privilege, mass deportation, gun lust, fewer regulations – that’s the policy of unimaginative people, no vision at all and the policies of a dying nation. We need to think big – and crown our good with personhood – a truly global community, housing and medical care for all, planetary healing, delighting in diversity, human rights everywhere, reconciliation – now this is a start of a big vision.
