I haven’t always been a Christian. I didn’t go to religion to make me happy. I always knew a bottle of port wine would do that. If you want a religion to make you really comfortable, I certainly don’t recommend Christianity.
Success is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you get.
Every morning when we wake up, we have twenty-four brand-new hours to live. What a precious gift! We have the capacity to live in a way that these twenty-four hour will bring peace, joy, and happiness to ourselves and others.
In our daily lives, we must make sure that it is not “happiness” that makes us grateful…but “gratefulness” that makes us happy.
If happiness is what we feel when we think we’ve got what we want, then joy is what we feel when we discover we already have what we most need. Joy is still present when life is hard. Christ comes for grieving people with broken homes and broken hearts. Christmas is...
